To Inform, Involve, & Motivate

Window Into Science features...
- A unique and adaptable classroom science display system.
- An indoor plant growth laboratory.
- Displays live science specimens and supports a fifty gallon mobile aquarium.
- It's viewed both in the classroom and entire school through corridor windows.
- Many projects correlate with teacher's curriculum.
- Makes efficient use of classroom space extending only eighteen inches from the corridor window location.
- "Hands on" experiments only steps away from the student’s desks-- a convenience for teachers and students.
IDEAL FOR NEW SCHOOL PLANS AND REMODELING PROJECTS
The modular components are easily adapted to any size
classroom configuration to provide the required growing and display area. This new concept is a small fraction of the cost of a greenhouse with greater utility.
BENEFITS ALL ACADEMIC LEVELS

For Life Sciences
Curriculum use of Window Into Science include: general science, biology,
botany,
horticulture, plant physiology, agriculture and life sciences. Laboratory
projects include:
- Growing plants through the full life cycle from seed, cutting, or tissue
culture to
flower demonstrating photosynthesis, growth hormones, and genetics (fast
plants).
- Studying the behavior of small animals, insects, reptiles and birds that
thrive in cages
under special lighting.
- Observing fish and other aquatic life in lighted aquariums up to fifty gallon
supported
at one or two levels on a mobile stand that nests as an integral part into
the system.
- And special science displays of general interest.
For Physical Sciences and Other Science Displays
Feature special exhibits:
- Physics, Chemistry, graphics, books and demonstrations of scientific
principals.
(Special display lighting and accessible power to all shelf levels makes this
diverse
use possible.)
- Showing off Earth & Environmental. Sciences, medical models, Science Fair
projects
and medical x-rays (on windows) and many items volunteered by students.
- And special science displays of general interest including Science Fair
exhibits.
Window Into Science is currently in use by grade schools, high schools,
colleges,
universities, and research labs (NSF projects).
STUDENTS OPERATE AND MAINTAIN
Teacher with Window Into Science have found that students develop and care
for their
projects with the same pride as their other school exhibits and awards. It
is their own
work and is seen by everyone. Here’s how it works in many schools:
- Teachers provide curriculum laboratory project direction.
- Students conduct laboratory projects using the display where applicable.
- Students are encouraged to suggest and provide related exhibit materials.
- Students maintain day to day care of exhibits.
Growth Systems provides teachers a plan for Introducing and Instructions for
using the
system.
